Group Runs with Portland Running Company

Portland Running Company hosts a variety of free, fun, group runs every week. Find a description of each run below. Live calendar here. Keep an eye on our Facebook Page for updates. Everyone is welcome. (No dogs, please.)

Come meet kindred spirits and learn from fellow athletes. Participants in our group runs are treated to giveaways and opportunities to test the latest gear.


Mondays, 6 PM, Scholls PRC

Westside Slow Jam. Easy 4-7 miles in Greenway Park and surrounding neighborhoods. Come enjoy the wonderful paths of Beaverton. Occasional vendor appearances at the Monday run bring out big crowds craving beer and product giveaways.


Mondays, 6 PM, Grand Avenue PRC

Monday’s Original Slow Jam. Easy 4-6 miles along the Willamette River waterfront, the Springwater Corridor, and surrounding neighborhood streets. All paces welcome.


Tuesdays, 6:30 PM, Cleveland High School Track

Lights! Camera! Track-tion! Meet us at 6:15 p.m. every Tuesday at the Cleveland High School track for our free weekly group interval workout. Workout details are posted beforehand on our Facebook Page every week (also check Twitter). Workout starts at 6:30 sharp! Workout from warmup through cool-down lasts 60–90 minutes. Note: During winter we all pull together to pay for the stadium lights. Bring $5 if you can.


Wednesdays, 6:30 AM, Lower Macleay Trailhead

Get gritty with PRC at our new Wednesday-morning trail run! Your leader is Chloe Hallyburton, DPT. She’ll meet you at the trailhead in Lower Macleay Park (see map) every Wednesday morning and take you on one of several routes through our beautiful urban forest. Trail shoes are recommended; surface is a mix of rocks, dirt, and detritus, with a sparing amount of pavement. No longer than one hour.



Thirsty Thursdays, 6 PM, Grand Avenue PRC & Rogue Eastside Pub

B double E double are you in? Meet us at the store for a run of 5–7 miles followed by refreshments at our favorite nearby watering hole, the Rogue Eastside Pub & Pilot Brewery. Runner’s World writer-at-large Mark Remy is your host. Your first post-run beer is on-the-house, courtesy of Rogue!

Thursdays, 6 PM, Scholls PRC

Our former ladies night has gone co-ed. Everyone is welcome to come out on Thursday nights and join Shelly and the group for our PRC-Beaverton Thursday Group Run. Maintenance runs mixed with targeted training for events. All paces are welcome! Check this Facebook group for regular updates about this run.


Saturdays, 8 AM, Grand Avenue PRC

Come run with PRC owners Dave & Paula Harkin! Paula will lead this run every Saturday morning from our store at SE Grand Avenue & Morrison Street. Come run the waterfront loop, Mount Tabor, and other cool downtown routes with her. Paula will cover about 10–12 miles; you do your thing. All abilities welcome.




Sundays, 8 AM, Long Run from northwest Portland

Our weekly long run meets at Kenny & Zuke’s Bagelworks at 2376 NW Thurman St in northwest Portland every Sunday morning at 8. We’ll venture into Forest Park frequently but also hit the waterfront on occasion. All paces are welcome. Many of our runners treat this as their weekly long run; distances covered vary from five to 18 miles. We like to have a coffee and chat afterwards.
